Having taken a roughly one year hiatus from the fashion world, Russian artist and designer Gosha Rubchinsky has returned to form with a Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Production duties for the collection have been taken on by COMME des GARCONS, who are helping the young designer re-enter the market, selling his wares at Dover Street Market, as well as other high-end boutiques. A close relationship with skate and street culture distances Rubchinsky from what one might expect to come out of the Russian fashion scene - there is no bling obsession here, just 90s club-inspired graphic staples, like long-sleeved tees and hoodies, crewneck sweaters and casual jackets. Its a welcome return to the scene for the young designer.
