Portraits & Murals catalog's the exhibition of the same name by Richard Avedon at The Gagosian Gallery, presented in a scenography by David Adjaye. The exhibition and book allows us to rediscover the works begun between 1969 and 1971, presented on 8 to 10 meter panels they featured iconic figures such as Allen Ginsberg, Andy Warhol and the Factory, the Chicago Seven. The work intending to "criticize the conservative stiffening against the considerable transformations of American society at that time" can be seen until the extended date of July 27th at the Gagosian Gallery, West 21st Street, New York.
