Givenchy Pre-Fall 2012

14/01/2012

Riccardo Tisci has not failed to impress with his latest pre-fall collection for Givenchy. The pieces are refined and practical yet always head-turning and dramatic. A collision of utilitarian silhouettes and feminine prints and finishings, the collection embodies the powerful female sexuality that Givenchy relentlessly delivers.

Jose Parla Interview

"Contemporary Palimpsests"

New York based artist Jose Parla has established an identity drawing inspiration from memories and experience with the most compelling and unique creations he refers to as "Contemporary Palimpsests". No matter what medium Jose applies himself to the outcome is as unique as the next which emphasises his ability to adapt and translate while being able to extract and synthesize fragments of society to produce works that you can only admire for the personal approach to each piece.

"White Shirt" Sculpture by Greg Lauren

10/01/2012

For Alteration at colette, the acclaimed artist, Greg Lauren will continue his ongoing exploration of personal identity and its relationship to clothing. The installation serves to further define the evolution from paper sculptures based on iconic menswear garments, to wearable pieces, which make up the Greg Lauren Collection. The show consists of standing paper sculptures, including, "The Marine", "Charcoal DB", "White DB Dinner Jacket" and "The Boxer." Collectively these pieces represent the classic male archetypes, most recognized by society.

The creation from San Diego-based practice Gracia Studio allows guests to close up their room to isolate themselves in nature or expose themselves by enjoying their own personal patio and fireplace or by using the nearby pool and exploring the vineyards.
