Her aesthetic brings the tomboy out of some of the world's most beautiful women and her blog grows in popularity as does Maya's work as a photographer. Recently her animated flipbooks have attracted the attention of the likes of Grazia and Italian Vogue, we asked her to create a flipbook for us focussing on menswear, entitled Boys to Men.

Hedi Slimane California Song Mini-Doco

Commonwealth Projects has produced an exceptional self commissioned video documenting Hedi Slimane’s California Song exhibition at the MOCA Pacific Design Center last year. The video which was filmed over the course of the exhibitions opening week covers No Age’s rehearsal, the opening night and final installation - all set to No Ages original soundtrack which was part of the installation. Serene and restrained, the video compliments Slimane's style beautifully.

Renowned director Michel Gondry has "sweded" Martin Scorsese's classic Taxi Driver, creating an inventive, witty and unexpectedly charming version of the dark film. Sweding simply means to remake or re-think something with what ever means or materials you can get your hands on. Gondry takes the lead by assuming the role of Travis Bickle himself.

Criterion takes a look at Seijun Suzuki's 1967 film Branded to Kill, a carnival for the eyes which won him the Cinematography Incentive Award from the Art Directors Guild of Japan. The director explains his exclaimed spatial practices and illustration of a professional killer saying “I decided to pursue the coldness of that peculiar realm of society.

Frank Lloyd Wright ‘Taliesin’ Film

Director, Bruce Beresford, who most famously won the Best Director Oscar for Driving Miss Daisy, has been named the man to take charge in a new film covering the life of famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright. 'Taliesin' will delve into the life of the legendary character including the story of his mistress Martha “Mamah” Cheney, the tragic murder that took place in their Taliesin home in 1914. We'll have to stay tuned for more news and a pending release date.

Nan Goldin - The Ballad of Sexual Dependency

American photographer Nan Goldin will show her The Ballad of Sexual Dependency work at the CPH:DOX Film Festival in Copenhagen on Thursday evening. The piece is a huge sideshow of hundreds of photographs by Goldin depicting the Bowery district of NYC in the early '80s, filled with hard-drug's, raw relationships and gay subculture. Live music from noise and performance artist Genesis Breyer P-Orridge will accompany the work which originally began in 1979 as slideshow presentations for Goldin's friends. These images according to Nan being born out of relationships not observations.
