Michael Genovese | Interview
Michael Genovese pays homage to his institutional background when speaking about his vision as a visual artist. The Chicago native has had work on show at some of the leading museums in the States and when you consider this, it is not difficult to see how he made the transition into the contemporary gallery scene. Personally, I recall his exhibition entitled "It's Not The Heat, It's The Humility" in 2009 at OHWOW, which really showcased the artists progressive nature and ability to connect with collective experiences, be it social or existential.

The Everyday Man: Our Legacy Interview
The Everyday Man: Our Legacy Interview
25/05/2012Our Legacy has made great leaps and bounds since they stepped on to the scene in 2005. Watching the Swedish brand progress over the years, they have consistently curated collections of classic pieces providing poignant depictions of fashion and function. While most brands are more concerned with what "trends" are most prominent, Our Legacy continues to focus on experimenting with fabric and fits, resulting in some of the finest, more innovated garments on the market today.

The Missing Books
The Missing Books
23/05/2012It was in 1943 that Jan Tschichold first suggested the idea of an award to be conferred upon the most beautiful Swiss books that were being published annually. Mysteriously however, only a few years later, there is a gap in the series; in 1946, 1947 and 1948 no books were entered or awarded. This gap and its context served as an interesting starting point for an exhibition series which discussed book making and book design in Switzerland, particularly from that time, but also in contemporary practice.
