The incredible Sharmadean Reid launched her new book 'The WAH Nails Book of Nail Art' at The WAH club at the W London hotel this week. Sharmadean opened the first of her famed WAH Nails salons in London in 2009, then a dedicated salon in Topshop's Oxford Circus flagship store and has been growing her dedicated fanbase ever since. The who's who of Londons creative community have been going to WAH since it opened and celebrities like Alice Dellal, M.I.A, Cassette Playa's Carri Munden and Louise Gray have become obsessed.

On the eve of his exhibition at OHWOW, I sat down with Luis Gispert to talk about his approach and more importantly this installation. Combining his clean approach to photography with sculptures and a focus on the corollary or arrangement, this exhibition entitled "All Oyster, No Pearl" distances himself from previous methods. Gispert aims to point out the balance between "consummate reality and the decorated facades we tend to build around it" and this is subjected through a series of silver gelatin prints mounted onto customized boxes, composites the modern and cheap.

Maccarone presents a solo exhibition by Swedish artist Hanna Liden that we are very excited about, opening May 2nd and running through to June 16th. Linden's dark, menacing and incredibly beautiful photographs have made her one of the most popular working artists in the New York scene today. Sound of My Voice is a psychological thriller directed by Zal Batmanglij which is set to release April 27th, after premiering at last years Sundance Festival as well as being selected as part of the SXSW film festival - the first 12 minutes of the film have been released online to cause even more of a stir. The film follows two reporters who infiltrate a cult in order expose the it's leader Maggie, who claims to be from the future and proof of some impossible truths. Casey Neistat originally started making films with his older brother Van, the pair have a hit-series on HBO called the The Neistat Brothers and have created over two hundred films together including iPod's Dirty Secret, which helped force the company to revise their battery replacement policy in 2003. Casey has stepped out on his own to produce and direct films, receiving an Independent Spirit Award for Daddy Long Legs which he produced and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Park Avenue Armory presents artist Tom Sachs' amazing installation Space Program: Mars. Sachs recasts the 55,000 square foot Wade Thompson Drill Hall, creating a space odyssey experience through an installation of meticulously crafted sculptures. Creating exploratory vehicles, mission control, launch platforms, suiting stations, special effects, recreational amenities, and even the Mars landscape from materials found in his studio. Sachs enlists the help of thirteen others to man the installation over the exhibition to reenact the ritual and process of a space mission.

Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama presents Candid, a mixture of recent colour photographs along with black and white works from throughout his successful career. Candid is shown in conjunction with Moriyama’s exhibition Fracture at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Mariyama's powerful works depict "mysterious strangers, animals prowling the streets, hidden alleyways, evocative sexual advertisements, window scenes from commuter vessels, and occasionally the unambiguous self-portrait."

From photographer Antonio Macarro and graphic designer Gorka Sorozabal comes Masterpiece, a new book made up of a series of Skype interviews made from March 2010 to February 2011. These interviews explore the current state of the fashion world and the changes which have occurred, these changes may be due to things such as social media or technological advances. Masterpiece features conversations with the likes of Miguel Adrover, Bless, Mark Eley, Casey Spooner, Tim Hamilton, Walter van Beirendonck or Gaspard Yurkievic to name a few.

Sam Griffin is an artist continually in search of the new possibilities that exist between art and architecture. He lives and works in London where he creates meticulously detailed drawings, along with his thought provoking sculptural work. It is the theory behind these works however which is most fascinating, Sam was kind enough to share with us some insight into his work and into the world of architecture which both captivates and challenges him.
