Tomás Saraceno on the Roof: Cloud City

05/06/2012

Artist Tomás Saraceno will create a constellation of large, interconnected modules constructed with transparent and reflective materials for the Met's Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden. Visitors may enter and walk through these habitat-like, modular structures grouped in a nonlinear configuration. Over the past decade, Saraceno has established a practice of constructing habitable networks based upon complex geometries and interconnectivity that merge art, architecture, and science.

Kon Trubkovich Interview

Memory of Visualization

Russian born, New York based artist Kon Trubkovich first made an impression when he associated himself with the likes of Nate Lowman, Dan Colen, Dash Snow and Ryan McGinley when they first came onto the scene. Since then Trubkovich has taken notions of space and memory of visualization to another level by applying it to multiple mediums with great distinction. His approach has matured over the years, his work refers to the randomness of analog static contrasted by the paradox of capturing the moment.

The U.S. Import High Summer

By Sascha Oda

U.S. Import hold a unique place in the market, especially within Copenhagen with the store also playing as a flagship store, for the lack of better words, for Soulland while complimenting the label with a selection of other well established labels. Having known Silas Adler, designer and founder of Soulland and one half of U.S. Import for sometime I been able to really understand his design philosophy over the years and see him grown into one of the leading creative's in the scene. We worked together on U.S.
