Portuguese artist and curator Pedro Matos, has taken London by storm. Relocating just over 2 years ago from the city of Lisbon, Matos is among those contributing to London's thriving art scene of emerging artists. Recently putting his duties to rest as co-Director of Ivory and Black Gallery, a contemporary art space in London's Soho, Matos is now back to his main focus: painting.

Aram Dikiciyan Interview
Aram Dikiciyan Interview
25/03/2013Having made inroads into the action sports photography field early in his career, German-born photographer Aram Dikiciyan forwent the commercial route in favor of a more personal one, relocating to Japan to pursue further artistic gain.
Having also found success and enjoyment in fashion-based shoots, Aram's style has evolved through refinement; his photographs are now identifiable by their sparse, minimalist nature, influenced in part by this fashion-orientated background.

Eddie Martinez Interview
Eddie Martinez is a painter and tennis enthusiast, living and working in Brooklyn NY. I had the chance to speak with him on a snowy-pre-blizzard afternoon, while he and Franny the French bulldog lounged on the couch in his brightly lit, paint-covered studio in Greenpoint. Martinez had just finished his newest series of paintings, five of which will be on view at The Journal Gallery in Williamsburg starting March 8th. This series represents a stripped down color palette and composition for the artist, whose work has previously taken a more figurative and narrative approach.
