A few weeks ago we brought you early details about New York-based artist Ryan McGinley's new show Animals which is now open at Team Gallery. The exhibition presents color portraits of live animals and nude models, with McGinley visiting sanctuaries, zoos, and rescue establishments across the United States. The artist set up mobile studios and enlisted the help of various pre-eminent animal trainers to ensure the animals were not treated as props but as the crucial subjects of the photographs. Animals runs through to the 2nd June, 2012.

 

Team Gallery also presents and additional solo show by the artist entitled Grids at their Wooster Street space, opening May 2nd and running to June 2nd 2012. Find more info here.
