Shayne Oliver Interview
Hood by Air was founded by Shayne Oliver in 2006 in the same way almost all great cult labels are started, by making tee's for friends. The brand has stayed true to its roots and remained hard to find despite being worn by the likes of A$AP Rocky and Venus X. The brand's juxtaposing world of Hood meets Fashion was around well before the fashion world caught wind of its influence, but it's the brand's influence which to me makes it one of the most interesting brands today. I spoke to Shayne Oliver to get a little more insight.

Daisuke Obana | Interview
Japanese label N.HOOLYWOOD has been a central figure in Ura Harajuku for more than a decade now with designer Daisuke Obana's unique vision defined by his interest in vintage clothing. One element of Obana's philosophy that is really attractive is his ability to reference in each collection, and what better example is his fall/winter 2012 collection entitled "KAPITON", a homage to iconic Lost Generation author Ernest Hemmingway. Obana welcomed me in to his atelier to discuss the history of N.

A.P.C & Vanessa Seward
A.P.C & Vanessa Seward
11/07/2012It’s a coming together of perfectly French sensibilities – the nonchalant cool of A.P.C, with the sexy-chic designs of Vanessa Seward. Seward, formerly the creative director of Azzaro, has collaborated with A.P.C to produce a tightly edited, capsule collection of seriously covetable pieces. The collaboration maintains the timeless freshness at the core of the A.P.C brand, and the super-wear-ability of the line belies the fabric's couture origins. It’s laidback Parisian-glamour, and it’s going to be sold out very quickly.

Damir Doma Paris Store
Damir Doma Paris Store
06/07/2012Damir Doma opens his first Parisian boutique, sharing the same courtyard as Comme des Garcons. The truly incredible space designed by Australian architect Rodney Eggleston, perfectly captures the spirit of the brand through raw marble, starkly contrasting hues and a considered use of mirrors.

Soulland Interview
Soulland in a big way represent the movement at the beginning of this century, founded on a concept based on streetwear ethos and have evolved into a well established menswear line defined by a more conceptual aesthetic. Silas Adler has now guided the label for a decade and is making all the right moves, not matter what element of the label, starting with the design work to the presentation to buyers, media and most importantly on a retail level.

Dior Couture F/W12-13
04/07/2012"Mr Dior was a supreme architect of pattern. He could construct something so perfect and yet he would often throw in a gesture on purpose to break the perfection. He would make what he did human for the wearer. You could tell he loved women in that way, in that incredible gestural way.
