Swiss Photobooks from 1927 to the Present

19/11/2011

Fotostiftung Schweiz are presenting an exhibition which aims to explore the relationship between photography and the book, examining how this platform has given context to singular image but also exploring how the communication of images has changed over time. The presentation of Swiss Photobooks from 1927 to the Present exhibition is the result of an extensive research project and is presented according to seven themes - homeland, portraiture, mountain photography, the world of work, aerial photography, contemporary history and travel. Large scale installations present photobook covers, while design and concept is presented with the photobooks displayed in large cases.
