Piotr Uklański's monumental textile installation 'Untitled (Open Wide)' is one of countless incredible works on view at Art Basel Unlimited this year. Uklański's work is rendered entirely in elaborately sewn and dyed fabric and conjures - in an almost caricatured manner - the human oral cavity. Recalling the expressiveness of the Polish modernists in the 1950s and ’60s, the rough material used is also a reference to both Polish folk culture and feminist art of the 1960s and ’70s.
